Cheney vacation home at Gitmo?

All this time we thought his "undisclosed location" was deep under a mountain somewhere, it turns out the VP has been vacationing at a tropical island paradise:

"They're very well treated down there. They're living in the tropics. They're well fed. They've got everything they could possibly want," Cheney said in a CNN interview. "There isn't any other nation in the world that would treat people who were determined to kill Americans the way we're treating these people."

That must be what all this talk of new construction is about:

The Navy announced Thursday that Kellogg Brown & Root Services Inc., a subsidiary of Halliburton, will receive $30 million to build "Detention Camp #6" and a security fence.

The contract outlines construction of a two-story, 220-person facility with day rooms, exercise areas, medical spaces and a security control room.

"Closing Guantanamo makes sense," Kennedy said Wednesday at a hearing. "It's stained our reputation on human rights, inflamed the Muslim world, and became a powerful recruiting tool for terrorists."

Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., sees the prison differently, and joked it would make "a beautiful resort."
