First day of class
I was trying to figure out how I wasted so much time yesterday, but the only thing I can come up with is that it's like the first day of college. A campus spread over several miles, schedules and directions to figure out. I'll admit I took at wrong turn at least three times after I decided to leave my map at home. (Thought I had it all figured out). Like college, there are rules and procedures to get used to, and new people to meet at every turn. In college, you usually have the evenings to catch up, but here that's prme speech time. And all the parties start as soon as that's over (which is the same as college).
On the bright side, they don't give samples of Smirnoff and Captain Morgan's out at freshman orientation, but we got one of each in our delegate goodie bag. Also got Altoids. And Macaroni and Cheese. I guess after the $200 a night hotel we had to pay for they figured we might need a free meal.
