I think Kobe did it
I used to give Kobe the benefit of the doubt, because I had no hard proof he was the kind of cold blooded person who could do this, but this three guy theory his defense team is putting out really bothers me. Just because an idea is taboo does not mean everything about it is true! Obviously, most women have never had sex with three different guys in three days, so who are they to say if the defense is just making this shit up? I am somewhat suprised that no one has asked any medical experts to comment on the idea. I personally doubt if any independent experts will back up the notion.
To start with, why would consensual relations with three different men in three days cause redness and lacerations that are inconsistent with consensual sex? If the allegation was that one of these other two man had raped her, not Kobe, then I could understand that line of defense. This is not the defense's claim. I could also see if one of these men had passed, you know, a fungus or STD on to the victim, that it might account for the redness. But lacerations inconsistent with consensual sex? Not likely, in my view.
The social and emotional differences are clear, but why would sex with three men in three days be physically any different that sex with one man three times in three days? If not, wouldn't there be a lot of married women (okay, maybe some honeymooners, at least) raw and bleeding all over the place? Clearly, the defense is not trying to argue that the victim was a virgin and that the blood found on Kobe's T-shirt was due to her sexual inexperience.
Another possibility of course is that she made it up to get revenge on Kobe for some perceived wrong. Could she have inflicted these injuries on herself? Would she have planned it out that carefully? She sure does not seem to be reveling in the media spotlight, if getting on TV was her motivation. I used to wonder if that was a possibility, but as this drags out and gets more and more personally humiliating for the victim, I'm just doubting that more and more. It's possible that was her intent, so now she's locked in to her story, but I doubt it.
It is somewhat suprising that no one else has brought forward similar claims against Kobe. That's really the main reason I can't say I'm sure I know he did it. Does someone just snap and do something like this, without any prior signs of trouble? Is it possible there was a miscommunication, and with her bent over that chair Kobe really did not understand she was not consenting? Did he mistake her cries and tears for some type of fake adult film act? Did she struggle very much? It doesn't sound like it, but I also think that this is fairly common for rape victims. They just freeze. Defenses shut down. I don't know.
I do know this three guy theory has me thinking Kobe is guilty. The physical evidence might have done that anyway, but this shows cruel intentions. I don't think there is a medical case to back up the argument. I think they are indeed trying this case in the media, much like they did at the Staples Center press conference. They want the victim to cave in under the intense media pressure. They want the public to think she is a slut and that she deserved what she got. That's why Mackey named her six times, despite warnings from the judge.
It's despicable. I'm suprised Mackey is doing it, unless Kobe is lying to her and telling her he is innocent. I really hope that he is innocent, but if not, now I can understand how he could be capable of this crime. Every time a new allegation or rumor about the victim is leaked, the defense team is raping her emotionally, again, and again, and the media is gladly aiding and abetting them in the crime.

My brother is a fed, and has talked to other feds and cops who have seen the evidence in the Kobe case. Let's just say that it does NOT look good for Kobe. He tore that poor girl up.

This is a typical defense move in a case like this... trash the credibility of the accuser by portraying the victim as a whore. It's nothing out of the ordinary for a case like this. When it is one person's word against another's, the strategy is to establish the uncredibility of the other party.
To me, Kobe's actions are consistent with a guilty rapists'. Deny the charges outright at first. And then when physical evidence is undeniable, change your story (I only committed the "sin of adultery"--please). It's funny that many LA Laker fans have blindly run to Kobe's defense (some even painting slogans like "Kobe is innocent" on their cars) depite the fact that he is evidently a liar.
