Rap lyrics of the month
I couldn't find all the lyrics for this one, but "Down With US" by Fred Wreck is free to download, and one of the best political rap songs I've heard in a while. Let's hope it starts a trend that carries over from the war to the election in 2004.
Click here to download "Down With US" produced by Fred Wreck and the DPG. Featuring Daz, plus a lot of lesser knowns (Everlast, Trey Deee, Defari, J-Ro, RBX, Soopafly, Bad Azz, WC, Dilated Peoples, and The Mac Minister).
Here are a few excerpts:
The Taliban was down with us,
Saddam Hussein was down with us,
South Africa was down with us,
And ya'll wonder why the whole world don't trust....When people all around us are starving and homeless,
What is Bush focused on? Must be his father's old grudges.
The schools need money. Man, they fucking off the budgets
For more tomahawks
And penitentiaries.
The Devil's propaganda creates enemies.
Now they pump-pumping war in the Middle East
And the shit got me thinking, "Who's really the Beast?"
