From John Kerry's concession speech:
KERRY: And Johnny and Kate, who went out there on their own, just like my daughters did. And also Emma Claire and Jack, who were up beyond their bedtime last night, like a lot of us.
Edwards doesn't have a son named Johnny. His son Wade was killed in a car accident in 1996. Edwards' own name from his birth certificate is Johnny. Does Kerry think Edwards has an older son? Was that Kerry's idea of an inside joke?
That part was just weird, but this part is painful to hear:
You know, thanks to William Field, a 6-year-old who collected $680 a quarter and a dollar at a time, selling bracelets during the summer to help change America. Thanks to Michael Benson from Florida, who I spied in a rope line holding a container of money and it turned out he had raided his piggy bank and wanted to contribute.
The man spent half a billion dollars, lost by three and a half million votes, and it's still all about the money.
